1、 Raw material performance of hardware stamping parts

1. Chemical analysis and metallographic examination

Analyze the content of chemical elements in the material, determine the grain size level and uniformity of the material, evaluate the level of free carbides, banded structures, and non-metallic inclusions in the material, and inspect defects such as shrinkage and porosity.

2. Material inspection

The main materials for stamping parts are hot-rolled or cold-rolled metal plates and strips. The raw materials for hardware stamping parts should have quality certificates, which ensure that the materials meet the specified technical requirements. 3. Forming performance test

2、 Process requirements for metal stamping parts

1. When designing the structural shape of hardware stamping parts, simple and reasonable surfaces and their combinations should be used, while also minimizing the number of machined surfaces and the machining area as much as possible.

2. Choosing a reasonable method for preparing raw materials in mechanical manufacturing can directly utilize materials such as profiles, casting, forging, stamping, and welding. The selection of blanks is related to specific production technology conditions, generally depending on production batch size, material properties, and processing possibilities.

3. The requirements for the formability of hardware stamping are that in order to facilitate stamping deformation and improve the quality of the parts, the material should have good plasticity, low yield strength ratio, large plate thickness directionality coefficient, small plate plane directionality coefficient, and a small ratio of yield strength to elastic modulus. The separation process does not require materials with good plasticity, but materials with certain plasticity.

4. Specify appropriate manufacturing accuracy and surface roughness. The cost of metal stamping parts will increase with the improvement of accuracy, especially in cases of high accuracy, where this increase is extremely significant. Therefore, high accuracy should not be pursued without sufficient evidence. Similarly, the surface roughness of metal stamping parts should also be appropriately specified according to the actual needs of the mating surface.

3、 The selection principles of hardware stamping oil

1. Silicon steel plate: Silicon steel plate is a material that is relatively easy to cut. Generally, in order to ensure the easy cleaning of the finished workpiece, low viscosity stamping oil is selected while preventing the generation of cutting burrs.

2. Carbon steel plate: Carbon steel plate is mainly used for low precision processing of protective plates for some mechanical equipment with low process requirements. Therefore, when selecting stamping oil, the first thing to pay attention to is the viscosity of the stretching oil.
